poor HR (human resource), KAFKA ,1984 type working enviorment you feel like you are under 24 hi security surveillance...and lots and lots of spin doctors (recently lied in the Wichita Eagle) about starting and two year RN pay...the HEAD of HR P Hollaran..said " Yes I spent most of my day [ moday] explaining why my nurses wer're paid the correct amount, they really should correct that...(see SUN 7/7/08 Wichita Eagle front page story)

Advice for prospective applicants:

The departments have an apparent on going war between themselves it presents itself as..who is the most important deptment at the hospital? or you gotta get by me if you want a nursing job here..extremely top heavey in management and very short on the actual nurses doing the work...those that can do..do.. the ones who couldn't cut it on the floor are all now in administration... lol

The facility I work at is, more often then not, short staffed, and rarely has the needed supplies for resident's room or for staff use. The charge nurses act more like prison wardens and will not help the staff when they need help.

Advice for prospective applicants:

Don't
