About Me
I am a mother of 7. Four girls and 3 boys. My family is very important to me. I work around school schedules, as a DON for a Home Health Agency, I have found that I like it more than I thought I would, I love teaching the nurses as well as patients. I spent the first half of my career in Labor and delivery and NICU, I taught childbirth education and breast feeding classes. I absolutely love patient care and education. I moved into home health primarily OB and Peds and now am doing geriatric patient's as well. I am PICC certified and completed my wound care certification. I pride myself on being a patient advocate. I treat my patients with respect and consideration, exactly what I myself would want for me and my family. I stand up for my patients and their rights, I have gone nose to nose with many an MD and have no problem doing it again. I am working on completing my book right now and with my partner who is also an RN we hope to be looking for publisher's by summer. We are a very active family and do a lot of traveling and activities together, I think this is key to a happy and successful family.
