I am an RN in a busy 18 room Operating Room in an inner city hospital. I am engaged to be married to a wonderful man who has put up with me for the last 11 years. He survived nursing school with me. He should have the degree just like me. LOL! Thinking back now I know that I could never work in any other unit than the OR and be happy.

    The phoenix means a lot to me. I started nursing school in a 2 year program more than 6 years ago. I dropped out because I was just mentally broken and physically drained. I have risen from those ashes and came out a fierce nurse. After being told that I would be a piss poor nurse because I was a piss poor aide, drove me to be a monster patient advocate, and fierce protector of the weak. I am a force to be reckoned with and I know that I am an excellent nurse. Maybe I should have the phoenix tattooed on me somewhere, Lane. LOL.
