About Me:
I am a Navy Wife! I am from the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS, but currently living in Virginia Beach. I was a nursing student in 2001, and unfortunately some life altering events caused me to step back, re-evaluate my path and so I returned to my orginial degree path, Sociology. Once my husband and I relocate, I will once again start Nursing school. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful step-daughters. I have an awesome boxer name Sadie and a crazy tabby cat name Sophie. I have worked in the medical field since highschool and I enjoy very much the interaction with patients and all the new things I learn almost daily. I started in Pediatrics, then I worked in the Cardiology Dept for a local hospital, now since moving to Virginia, I am working for an OB/GYN. Medicine has always interested me. My grandmother had CHF and from our constant trips with her to the hospital, I began to realize that not only do I find this interesting but I also want to help people. My father has Leukemia, CAD, AFIB, and Diabetes. He has his good days and his bad, but we fight everyday with him and we keep him going. My mum is a RN and certified Mid-Wife, she came to the US from England. I have a beautiful twin sister, who is completely opposite of me in every way! I enjoy my crazy life as a Navy Wife. I am blessed to have a very supportive family.

hey there, fellow Relocated Texan! sorry i haven't been online much... a homeless man stole my laptop from the library so right now I'm using an older one that my husband hack-sawed the broken screen off of. Now it seems kind of like the WebTV that my grandma uses, hahahaha! Did you watch that "Carrier" show on PBS? I don't know if only non-military people loved that show, but I thought it was great. I never had any idea what my Navy friends were doing when they left US shores. It was cool that they showed lots of people with lots of different backgrounds and viewpoints, and what their families were going through at home.

Hey Sis! Just wanted to say I hope you have a GREAT day! I love your pics. If you need any emotional support through the "relocate" let me know. I have been through it. I am so glad my boyfriend/future fiance- he has already told me he was going to ask me to marry him when the time is right- is out of the Army.

Hi there! Thanks so much for the friend request! My husband and I love CA too! We were just back in VA last winter and, while it was very beautiful, we didn't care for the weather at all. I guess we're just too use to the warm sand and sun of CA! The area we live in is crawling with military so employers seem to be really flexible and understanding with any situations that may come up for military spouses. All the best!
