Raina, I see you worked in in MR/DD - I worked in 2 differant facilities in my career. As an aide I worked at a private facility in Rockford, Illinois for "children" back in the late 1970's, and then from 1988-1995 (when I became disabled) I worked at a state institution in Wyoming. I really loved my clients, and am proud to say that my 17 yo son now works in the same facility as a "Student Worker". My wife has worked in that same institution since her high school graduation in several positions, currently(and for the last 20 years) as a cook. It is a place that has a very good relationship between the clients and the direct care staff. In years past, many of the clients would spend holidays with the staff at their homes.
God bless, Paul
