My name is Stephanie and I was a nurse while serving in the military. I was stationed 3 years in Sicily and 1 year in Norfork, Virginia. I am from Ohio and just recently moved back with my husband who also is in the military. I moved back to be closer to my father and 3 brothers due to the loss of my mother. I am now a P.A. and love it.

    Stephaine, thank you for inviting me, I would like to get some thoughts regarding the differences as A PA, versus a NP. I have beena NP for the past 13 years, andhave there is a major difference in hos PA's and NP's are treated, in Indiana where I attended a private college, and the state does not treat NP's and pA"s as equals. NP's and Pa's were seperated in meetings etc. PA's were not allowed to practice alone in the office and yet NP's were, their rationale was our education, we had to have a masters, and if you do not know the new requirement will be that NP's can not sit for the national certification after 2013 unless they have a PH.d. Do you feel that it is fair that PA's and NP's are tereted at the same level when the NP is required to do more education?
