About Me:
I am married and live in Nashville, TN with our 2 beautiful dogs - Felicity & Annie Oakley. I graduated with a Psychology degree from Vanderbilt in 2001. Since I've been working in the Mental Health field in some capacity, with a variety of experience under my belt I'm now returning to nursing school. I begin Jan 2008 at Columbia State Community College -the Franklin, TN campus to get my R.N. I hope to experience being a Nurse in all areas of healthcare/wellness, but will probably end up in a Psychiatric, Mental Health or Residential Treatment facility eventually. For the last 2 years I've been working at Cumberland Heights, a non-profit alcohol & drug treatment center in Nashville, TN, as an admissions & assessment counselor. I am going to continue working 3 days a week - so it's going to be busy, but a rewarding experience.

    Yes I saw the article!!! It made me so nervous! Glad to here you have not had a bad experience like the girls in the article! Keep in touch! I got a little card in the mail today saying they received my application. I hope that means everything is okay with it! Do you remember how long do they take to send out acceptance / denial letters?     Thanks for adding me as a friend! I am also at Columbia State Franklin campus. I just turned in my nursing application and hopefully will begin in the spring :) I am intrested in mental health, too. Seems like we have a lot in common!

    Just two weeks ago, I was in Nashville visiting..... great atomosphere and friendly people. I visited Vanderbilt University, Tennessee State University, Fisk University, Nazarene University and tons of other great places.
