Personal

About Me:
I have been a nurse for about three years. Worked as a CNA through my ADN program, then worked my way as an RN through the BSN program. Joined the Navy at age 33, and here I am! I work at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital in Oceanside, CA. I have been in the Navy for about 6 months and am loving everything about it. I take care of the heroes (and their families or retired heroes and their families) that are taking care of us! What an honor! My experience is primarily in Med-Surg, but am cross training into PEDS. A little cross training never hurt anyone, right? Marines make lots of babies, so I will never have a shortage of patients! Would love to talk to anyone out there about the multitude of issues facing our profession. I LOVE students as well...bring it on!!!

Favorite Movies:
I love movies...Like food, my favorites change with my moods. Forrest Gump is always up there, because of its message...live life like you mean it and go all out. We all die and love is all that matters in the end.

PBS, CSI, Dr G, House, Grey's Anatomy
Favorite Music:
I need music that moves me. If I can feel it, it almost doesn't matter what they are saying. Almost. Honesty is what counts. To me, emotion is more important than words, most of the time.
