About Me:
I am a brand new licensed practical nurse! I just passed my NCLEX and got my license issued on October 31, 2008! Nursing is actually my third career. I have a bachelor's degree in education and taught in public elementary schools for a few years. Then, when I had my first son, I decided that I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, and that was the start of my second career (that one was unpaid!). I also homeschooled my children. My oldest son is now 25 years old and married, my middle son is 22, and my youngest son is 12. So, at age 50, I decided that it was time for a new chapter in my life. I decided that I'd start out as an LPN and I want to eventually get a BSN. I'd like to become a travel nurse, and possibly become a nursing instructor (teaching is still "in my bones"! :-) ). I've been married for 28 years! Oh yeah...my family and I just moved to Nashville, TN in August, 2008 from Dayton, OH.

    Thanks so much for sharing more about you, sounds like you have many great kids too. It makes you feel so good when your kids are becoming successful! I too love teaching, as a childbirth educator and then publishing a parenting magazine to help new mothers with choices in raising kids.
