Spent years in biotech R&D and academic research as a microbiologist/molecular biologist/biochemist. 20-year-old son is now in college, so I decided I would do the same and change my career, mid-life. It's not a crisis, I promise! Wondering how I can best integrate my aptitudes and past experiences into an exciting nursing career.

    Wow... are the 40s something of a transition for people. I just saw friends I haven't seen in years. I've known them forever. And, they look so much older. Its a real transition for me. I still think of myself as young!
