About Me:
I'm a nursing student who will graduate in 2009. I live at home with my parents and my younger brother. I love to sing and hang with my friends whenever my busy schedule allows. As you all know, nursing classes take up a lot of your time and your energy. I can't wait to become an RN. Not sure what area I want to work in yet, but I just finished a semester in psych and I enjoyed it very much. I love Disney movies and have a collection of many "stuffed" pigs in my room. I love them.

Hi samantha! Tks for the invite, and welcome to the wonderful world of nursing! Have you decided which area you'd like to specialize in? My 2 favs are OB and surgery. I just loved the fast pace, never knowing what was going to walk through the door! Tks also for the photo comments! The pups are a trip. Unfortunately, my de-stressor is in dry dock. We're doing some cosmetic work on her, a new paint job and varnishing were in order. Hopefully she'll be lake-worthy by the end of june!

thank you for the invitation! you seem very enthusiastic, tuned in, so please consider obstetrics! it has EVERYTHING.I have been in this gig for 28 years and it becomes a life style. Keeping it "pure" is another matter. I don't know how to plug in to other ob types out there but would love to. do you have any ideas? i am very new to this process.

Hey sam thanks for the invite. Congrats on school.. Keep plugging away. I have just finished school with my BSN after six years of study. It is a tough road and they do expect so much from you clinically and academically. I believe that someone else said that as well. We are all proud of everyone who puts there foot forward to go to school to become a health professional. It is a world of no other and is very rewarding at the end of the day. I am accepting a position in a CVICU and i will be taking my board in a few weeks. BEst wishes and i look forward to getting to know you.. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. Take care and hope to talk soon...... GO FOR YOUR DREAM and FOLLOW through with your DETERMINATION!!!!!

Hi, Samantha. Past couple of weeks have been a blur of activity with our pinning ceremony and graduation. I'm proud of you; you're doing so well in your classes. Make sure you keep up the momentum, I wish I did because I slacked off a little this semester (senioritis maybe?). Your last year will be your toughest because more is expected of you; clinically and academically (not sure I spelled that right) so keep up the hard work. I've accepted a job in ICU and will take my NCLEX in a couple of weeks, but I feel as though I'm prepared. Good luck in your classes, if you aren't already done, and enjoy your summer to the fullest!!!! Monique
