Show and tell at school is great. Kids love it because it is a chance for them to bring something personal from home and show it off to all their classmates. Choosing just what to bring for show and tell can be difficult, but favorite toys and vacation so

Seriously are there not rules about what you can take into a school for show and tell? I am suprised that the school and the teacher allowed it. If someone took something like that into one of my kid's class and passed it around I would through a fit.

Well, it was a pretty weird thing to do to start with. Who wants to hold a dead bat? I'm sure she meant no harm but really, having the children pass it around from student to student is taking things too far. Even if it didn't have rabies, it could have had lice or other little critters on it. I don't think this Mom was really thinking. And the rabies shots that the kids have to take are very painful. Maybe next time the kids will think twice about passing something dead around.
