This Houston-based employer gets high marks for medical and employment excellent. A Best Hospital (in 14 out of 16 specialties), a Magnet nursing center, and a Fortune-rated Best Company to Work for, more than 10,000 people work here. All of them (except for docs and senior execs) got $200 grocery cards last year – just for working there. Job growth was 11 percent last year as was voluntary turnover. The staff is 66% minorities and 76% women.

As long as I can remember, Texas as always paid their nusres the highest wadges. As a teenager, I can remember my mom thinking about relocating to Texas. As a single mom ,she was looking for schools( for us) and salaries for her. Of course I "d rather die than leave in the middle of my high school years. I was such a drama queen :o)

This is great news. It is good to know that in these times which are critical for hospitals and nurses that there is a hospital that is good to themselves and their staff. I hope all Methodist hospitals can come up to the standards of the Houston based hospital. Keep up the good work!
