A lot of times we neglect praying to God when we are happy or busy. But have it ever occurred in your mind that communicating with Him is being done through prayers and reading the Word of God which is the Bible?Well,i, myself, is guilty of that. I feel so terrible and ashamed when i don't pray like what it should be."Pray unceasingly!!!!" is Christ"s words for all of us to protect us from adversary's attack. Prayers are answered because it is for our own good and according to His time and plans. Answered prayers make up most of my life. From physical, mental, emotional, financial and most of all Spiritual attack. God's provisions are His answer for our prayers. Lonesome? Talk to God. Want a partner in life? Seek God's face. Where? in the BIBLE!!! How do we pray? Just like when you are talking to your bestfriend. How do you know your prayers will be answered?Believe and have faith that He is listening to you. Where did I get these words? God will always lead you to do, act, write and say the right things to glorify Him.Want your prayers answered? Pray to Him with a humble heart and give Him your everything..........

I often pray as I head into work that God will keep my head clear and focused, my brain intact of the knowledge I need and my heart full of compassion and patience as I care for the people God entrusts to me.

I know what you mean. When I was in the military most of the people in my unit use to recite Psalm 23 every morning, and before we go on patrol. My heart wraps itself around that text and it acts as a channel between God and my heart, I am a living testimony of Psalms 23. To this day, most of my unit members, though many of us have retired, say it every morning, it has personal meaning to us because we have lived it. To many it's just words, to me is an affirmation of faith that He is with me.

Sandyandy: What a wonderful prayer! I love it! It should be the prayer for all nurses. Al: I am constantly surprised by your comments. You are an amazing person. Surely you are one of God's angels here on earth!

The job of a nurse can be stressful, overwhelming w/ responsibility, and emotionally draining at times, so I recognize my need for the Lord to hold me up and be the strength behind what I do. It's His hands that serve through mine! And Al, yes, it is so easy for all of us to become complacent with His Words. . .what a gift that He has blessed you with a real sense of Psalm 23 (one of my favorites!)

A little side note to all these posts. . .I feel that God has me in the workplace He does to not only be His hands and comforting words to the patients but to those co-workers that I rub elbows with every day.

We are all God's creatures whether we believe in Him or not. To me medicine is a divine profession, as it used to be called. It's a gift not a right to care for the sick, ill and wounded. I am blessed that I have the opportunity to be an instrument to help people get better and to others, a caring hand to hold on to as they pass other side. I am happy that I am blessed with the talents and opportunities that God has given me.

what we need in our working place is lots of prayers, wrap our family as well church with prayers, pray for the government as well as our enemies. i salute you Al, Psalm 23 is very comforting plus we know that it is all true!!!!
my son that i haven't seen for 5 years who is now 9 years old almost drowned 2 months after he arrived in Michigan to be with us as a family. i was at work, my husband told me that he will go to er. i asked him to pick me up since it was already time for me to go home anyways. i thought my son will be in shocked or scared---- but when i saw him he was very calm as well as his sister. i talked to him and asked what he felt. he said he was cold and about to go up to the ladder when he slipped and heard dad call his name , and he is already out of the water. he admitted being scared but knew that God is my Shepherd.......we all need to pray and not only in our hearts and minds but loudly!!!! I will look up the verses that pertains to prayer and share it all with you.......

God is so mighty and powerful and never fails. I am so glad that Christians are hand in hand to show that evil one will never win. I praise God because There are a lot of people who wants to know Christ and follow Him at the end. Bless all of you brothers and sisters of faith!!!! Without Christ, we are nothing. Money, power, knowledge, works can not save us from hell----- only Christ's Blood did it for us.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pray on my way to the clinic, I pray over all of the staff members, and I pray for God to reveal mysteries of illness to the physicians and for him to guide their hands with the patients. I also pray for the patients. My prayer life is strong. God is so awesome. It is a blessing when healthcare providers do have a strong relationship with god and believe in divine healing. There is power in prayer and spirituality deffinately has a place in the healthcare setting. I believe that we as healthcare providers are called by God to do what we do, not everybody can do it.
