It is stated with the PPV information statement that it can be given with immunocompromised people such as receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment. My question is, can we give PPV and flu vaccine same day or one day after chemotherapy completed in her current cycle? The patient comes back every 14 days for her cycle. Does anyone has somethng to share and clarify about it? Some physicians say it's okay to give, some say to delay the vaccination, and some say don't give yet because of pt's immunodeficiency status. There is no consistent answer. I would really appreciate if one can give me an answer from a very reliable source that I can give the vaccines.

Call your local health department
1-800-232-4636 This is the CDC information hotline.
I can't find anywhere, where the specific information you've requested is listed, so my recommendation is you call the CDC
