Just found out I'm deploying Sept 15, Problem is LPN school ends Sept. 19. The school is going to let me take finals A week early, but what can I do about NCLEX? will they let me test without certificate from school? Also I am Army trained medic I was once told that this would allow me to challenge the NCLEX is that true? If so that could allow me to sit for NCLEX before school was through. Can the NCLEX be taken over seas. Lots of questions so few answers. Any help or info would be appreciated. Got to study for finals will check back in later, Thanx ric

I just ETS'd out of Active Duty and Challenged the Board in California.  In this state you must work on a ward for at least 12 months at any military hospital in order to challenge the board.  You might be able to take the NCLEX depending on where you will be.  For 1st time test takers they will offer you a test date within 30 days.  I just got my packet and now I'm trying to find an NCLEX-PN program to help me study.  Talk to your school administrators to see how long you can extend in order to take your test.  If your a medic make sure you transfer all that school to a M6 identifyer.  Keep your head low down range & God Bless!

I am not sure about testing overseas. There are several military people on here that should be able to help you out.
