I am just start out at a community college with my pre-req's. My goal is to obtain my Associates Degree in Registered Nursing, then eventually future my education with a bachelors degree. I have been reading all of the articles about the nursing shortage and students not being excepted due to lack of room. This makes me really nervous. I am only taking a few classes at a time, so getting the grades should'nt be too hard.

Anyone have any advice?

The best advice I can give is, simply try your hardest and do not give up! Good luck in your journey! I have just started my pre-req's as well, if you need someone to chat with or need help at all, let me know. I will do what I can to help you out!

Good luck!!!! Enjoy this journey and learn alot!!! Don't get discouraged.  When I was applying for nursing school, I was 2nd on the waiting list to get into the University of Texas Nursing program.  The stats at that time, were for every 100 students only 50-60 of those would complete the acutal course study.  I finally decided that I would take my minor (Sociology) and make it my major. I am hoping to go back and finish up what I started with nursing.
