Posted 2 months ago I have been thinking of all the responsibilities and skills one needs to work in any health profession, and the lack of respect and support many of us get. Usually, it is a common theme of "cover-your-own-ass" and a lack of unity that seems to perpetuate many problems in the work environment. What do you all think of the possible usefulness of unions in our professions. As our economy worsens and the disparity gap of the classes continues to expand, would it not be nice to have a mechanism that can support you at work. |

| Posted 2 months ago I've been a member of and supported California Nurses Association for years. I also support the newly formed National Nurses Organization. CNA has made great strides in California for the nurses and is now joined with the NNO Deb

| Posted 2 months ago What are everyone's thoughts on the CNA vs. SEIU feud? I've been getting at least a few pieces of mail a day from each organization call one another out for being unsupportive/hypocritcal/fill-in-insult-here. Where do you stand? |

| Posted 2 months ago I am absolutely against SEIU and their tendancy to side with and for administration. This is the union of choice by administrators because of this. Also SEIU lumps all healthcare workers together, from housekeeping to nurses both LPN/LVN and RN. CNA is for nurses, have a tremendously successful record, particularly in California Deb
