Hi all,

Well after many years of sleeping, eating, and breathing pre-requisites for the nursing program, I got the letter Saturday and I have been accepted into a program!!!! YIPEEEE!!!  I am so excited!

I was wondering if any one else has gotten the letter?

I have worked for this for a very long time. I have had to start over because of science classes being too old. So I guess I definately have the determination after taking A&P 1 and 2 at the same time and microbiology. I don't know who was crying more, my sister or me! Thanks to all the people here that offered lots of encouragement.

This is what most new students look like in their first clinicals!!  LOL.   I am an LPN and was in the RN program here in Fort Wayne, IN.  I am a student at Indiana/Purdue University of Ft. Wayne.  I had to take incompletes in my 5 classes this spring due to my 25 year old daughter( also an RN since 2006), finding out she has stage 3 breast cancer! Talk about not being able to focus!!!!!!!!!!   I love nursing and have wanted my RN for some time now.  One of the classes I had was the last I needed to finish my Associates in Psychology too. I hope to work on a Psych unit. You will be sick a lot, tired beyond belief, stressed to the max and question wether it's worth it. It is! Good luck and always look for humor in each situation!!!   Linda.               Need to talk?   Email me.   shellk01@ipfw.edu

I will definately remember. Can you reccomend any good sites or books to study by? After working for over 20 years as a CNA and a Tech, I think I can find the humor in almost anything!

Congratulations!!  Can't wait till I start the RN program, if I ever get through my prereqs.  Seems like they are taking forever to complete!

Don't worry, you will get through them. I had to take mine all over again twice! But I am persistant and away I go!

Thanks, I need all the luck I can get. Right now, just camping and enjoying the summer because I know that it will be hectic in the fall!

CONGRATS! I got my letter  a couple months ago, and I start the LPN program on August 18! I'm so excited! The books cost  a ton however, and I've still gotta get my  shoes and watch..! I did end up getting a pink stethescope for 10 dollars though! :)

The university that I attend doesn't send out letters.  You get an email.  I received mine in May and will start clinicals this September.  I am so looking forward to making a difference.

I am looking forward to it as well. I guess they also do regular testing throughout the quarter and you have to pass it with a high grade as well. Just brushing up on my math and trying not to stress too much. I am excited and nervous at the same time. Good luck to all who also have been accepted.
