resume building?
Posted about 1 month ago Hey, I know this is a really boring topic, but I need some help here... I'm on track to finish my CNA program tomorrow, and will take the state exam next month. After that, I'm going to start applying for jobs in hospitals, but I don't know how to write a resume if I've never had experience in a hospital other than clinicals.
What did you do? How do you make yourself stand out to employers? |

| Posted about 1 month ago writing a resume is the easy part, you state what your experiences have been and list employment. I think and this is what seems to be the stumper for most everyone is the kick butt cover letter, because this is where you grab interest and make them want to hire you. You state in your cover letter why you wish to employed as a CNA, what your goals and ambitions are. here are several sites http://jobsearch.about.com/cs/coverletters/ht/coverletter.htm http://www.mahalo.com/Cover_letter http://www.roguecc.edu/emp/Resources/how_to_write_a_cover_letter.asp http://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Cover-Letter

| Posted 25 days ago Thanks a lot! I'm pretty good with resume and cover letter writing (I had gotten lots of interviews when I was trying to get a job in non-profits), but it's my lack of experience that kills me. I've spent the last six years working in restaurants and coffee houses!
I take the state board exam next Friday... wish me luck! |
