Unfortunately, No. They are 2 different diseases. The MMR was produced way back when to keep people from having to get 3 separate vaccines much like the DTaP and the TDaP.

vwoods, Where did you start with getting your records, I have been out of school forever, moved several times the doctor I had when I was a child is now deceased.  My friend said maybe my old grammer school would have them, but there has to be an easier way.

I think the easiest way to be sure is to go and have a titers done.  That way you know for sure what you need.  It may cost a bit (not sure how much)  But I think it would give one a better sense of security knowing you truely are covered.  Right?  Please correct me if I am wrong.

how far back are we talking for immunizations.  I had several immunizations when I was in the military but that only dates back to 97.

If you were born before 1957, you are more than likely to have had all the mumps, measles, chicken pox etc, because it hit with epidemic proportions back then.  However, the only way you'll know if you have immunity to anything is having titres drawn.  Which by the way, vwoods is far more expensive, unless you have insurance coverage, than the $63 for the immunization.  Have you contacted the board of health in your city to ask if they do immunizations?  Sometimes they do and it's very much less expensive then going to your family physician or a clinic.
