Posted 3 months ago How are your classes going? I'm just wondering.. Mine are going pretty well. I've only got 2 nursing teachers for all 4 nursing classes! I think my hardest class is Basic Pharmacology! Does anyone else have that class? My favorite class is my fundamentals of nursing lab! We've learned how to wash hands properly, put on and take off gloves, make beds, and wash the patient in bed! My classes are: Basic Pharmacology Fundamentals of Nursing (Already had a test in this class! Passed with an 88! Need to try to reach for an A next time) Fundaments of Nursing Lab Nursing 1 clinical Lab And then, I'm taking PE which isn't a nursing class, but it is required and it is kinda my fun class to take away from all the hard nursing stuff.. What are your schedules like? Anyway better go! Sarah |

Posted 3 months ago Hello dramatic1, My classes start on Thursday and I will be taking Fundamentals of Nursing. Im in a ADN program, so the pharmacology portion will be incorporated in this class some how. I've heard this from a friend who has just completed this class last semester. So, tell me a little about the Basic Pharmacology class. Also, what was your first test like in Fundamentals of Nursing. RN2010

Posted 3 months ago My Basic Pharmacology class is so hard right now.. So far we have only used the Dosage Calculations book and the first part is basic math, like metrics and fractions.. The hard part is figuring out how to change like something like centimeters to meters or something like that.. I'm going over my chapters so I'm hoping it will be easier once I read it! My Fundamentals test was easy.. It had a lot of the basic stuff on it not really the history of nursing or anything like that.. What book are you using? I can tell you better if you're using the same book as me I'm using Barbara Timby's Fundamental Skills and Concepts ( not sure if that is the exact title) Is ADN, LPN or RN?

Posted 3 months ago I've heard the figuring out how to convert is hard and that's what most nursing students struggle with. I'm sure once you familiarize yourself with the material, you will be fine. My Fundamentals of Nursing book is by Potter and Perry. ADN is an Associate Degree in Nursing- RN. RN2010

Posted 3 months ago Have you already gone through the LPN program and are doing RN now? If you are, how do you like the transitioning thing.. that is what I'm going to be doing probably next year. Right now I'm in the LPN program..

Posted 2 months ago I'm taking: Fundamentals of Nursing (which includes Basic Pharmacology) Fundamentals of Nursing Lab (in which we have our Vital Signs Skills Test this coming Tuesday! We already did the Hand Hygiene Skills Test which was a piece of cake) Intro to Nursing Process (which doesn't start until September 22nd) Nursing 1 Clinical lab (we'll be at a nursing home this semester. Starts on Thursday) Older Adult (in which I have a quiz on Tuesday as well) ~~ ADN210: my Fundamentals of Nursing book is by Potter and Perry too. I really like all the classes...it's just soooooo much information though!! It gets overwhelming... you really have to learn how to prioritize and really keep organized. Sleep is but a distant memory....lol Best of luck to everyone ♥☼erica☼♥ "An eye for an eye, and soon the whole world is blind." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
