McCain's brilliant plan for healthcare reform is to tell employees if you don't have health insurance go to the ER.

Everyone has a right to access healthcare in the ER in an emergency.  One day he may get diabetes, not have health insurance,

Stop follow up care, don't take prescribed meds due to lack of insurance and low cash funds.  Then he can brilliantly show up in the ER

in a medical emergency state of either hypo/hyperglycemia, I'm not quite sure which one NOW, I'll need an ER nurse for further assessment, then an MD for orders.

oman....................who is behind bailing out Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac?  Who is behind the failure of these monster institutions?  Funny thing is.........have you seen the news about the Attorney General office being called by the White House <Bush is in the White House>, now the FBI  is investigating these monster companies.  I wonder why Congress <Nancy Pelosi allowing it to be brought up>  an investigation?  Were they afraid of fingerpointing of possible Democrats who might have 'had their finger in the cookie jar'?  No one will know until the FBI do their investigation  Shortly after the FBI started the investigation, Nancy Pelosi was on the news saying something about putting a limit on the bailout................sounds like 'sell out'.  The rich get richer and poor get poorer? Dude, this is a free country and we are a capitalist nation.  We have to have incentives to make good lives for ourselves.  What is wrong with working hard and achieving the American Dream?   I'm not saying we're having a great economy right now, it stinks.  I'll be happy to know what the FBI find out and I'm hoping congress wont impede the investigation...............well, I dont think they can, I hope they cant.  I hope things get better for us all.

I think we'll all find out about the trickle down effect.  It seems that congress couldn't come to an agreement on the sellout.  We'll see how many of our coworkers a re goin to suffer.  Personally, its no secret that McCain doesn't agree with GW Bush, he opposed him on numerous issues.  I am still looking foward to the FBI findings on the sellouts.

Trickle down didn't work for Reagan (remember... we went through this same thing in the late 80s with the bailout of Savings and Loans)... but, the neo-Cons are great at packaging the Democrats as "Tax and Spend"... it just ain't so any more.  Trickle down doesn't work and it hasn't worked for me.  I'm worse off (by far) than I was when Bush came into office and McCain promises to do more of the same.

McCain loves de-regulation but had the balls to blame a lack of oversight for this latest issue.  Hey, you can't have it both ways!  Deregulation means, little oversight!

If you think all people are created equal and have equal chance at resources, you need to visit my world.  Even as an intelligent man, I have had to struggle far more to get what I want because of my birth family's economic status versus those in the upper middle class.  I spent more time paying off student loans than those guys.  There are many reasons why people are unable to achieve the American Dream and it is awfully presumptuous to assume the "have nots" are just lazy.  With a B.S. , M.S. and now working on a nursing degree, I am anything but lazy.  Yet, somehow, my American Dream has yet to be realized.  (I'm also not belly-aching... I have something more important than money... people who love me and you can't buy that!)

The header says: "Why not vote for McCain"... ummm How about because I want to be able to buy a house in the next 3 years in California and Not vote for McCain because I want to be able to buy gas for my car because the last time I checked, the water in the gas tank doesn't work.  Oh another reason, not because of his view on foreign affairs or because his whole campaign is a JOKE, but just the simple fact that I like to eat and feed my family... We've kinda developed this weird habit of sleeping INDOORS & HAVING HEAT!!!

Trickle down is how you are getting paid, do you see money trickling up.... Lets work for poor people and see when your next pay check will arrive.   Obama supported the bailouts of big companies of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, because the x-CEO's are his advisors, and both companies have contributed heavily to his campaign.  And then look up all the foreign money for his campaign.  That's who I want for president.  If you don't believe me LOOK IT UP.

I take offense at the getting a disability check. For reasons that don't need to be stated here, I get a disability check and feel that there is a stigma you're attaching to that.

Why vote for John McCain? I'lll tell you why. He has always put the needs of others befor his needs.  Yes, he has made mistates, but he's owned  up to them, like his divorce and the Keating affair of which he was aquitted.

He has a history of working with anyone, including those not of his own party, to solve problems that we face. One example is reforming our campain system, in which he worked with Russ Feingold (Democrat) to craft a bill. It didn't help that Senator Obama pledged to him to use public funds for his campaign for presidency, then turned around and  changed his mind, double-crossing you AND Senator  McCain.

He has accusd his own party of spending more than it makes  (just like us-budget) and he told the Admistration that their tactic in Iraq wasn't working and proposed a troop surge (that is working). He made NO friends in his party, Donald Rumsfeld, Pres bush and others.

He believes in investing in our children. He believes in quality education for them and giving parents the choice of which schools to send them and paying good teachers; showingi poor teachers the door.

He believes in low taxes; not just low taxes, but believes strongly that we need to cut/slash unecessary federal programs or parts of the programs that don't work: spending cuts. That's why he voted against the Bush tax cuts; there we no accompanying SPENDING cuts.

He believes that healthcare reform can be done in the context of capitalism. He feels that the introduction of more competition into our healthcare system will drive prices down (econ 101). He feels that decisions  about health care should be made by YOU and your DOCTOR and your GOVERNMENT should have nothing to do with it. He believes in decreasing the time it takes from being a Brand name drug to an approved generic should be decreased by working witht he FDA and working with foreign markets to import SAFE drugs.

John McCain believes in decreasing the corporate tax rate; high corporated tax rates mean that the corporations have to maintain lower salaries, employe fewer people, or employee them overseas. I don't know about you, but when i call with computer problems, I like to understand what the person on the other end of the line says.

He'd plan to double the child exemption on your income tax and he'd begin NOW to develop ways to decrease our dependence on foreign oil.. He'd end the war in Iraq, but he'd not have our soldiers come home, surrenduring. He'd have them coming home soon, but in victory, not with their tails between their legs, but proud and victorious. An America who retreats in defeat will further decrease it's already poor standing in world view and the liberal media has made much of America's poor stanting in world view.

Read the policies of Sentor Obama carefully before casting your vote. Do you want small business tax rates to be increased so that they have to lay off employees, cut their benefits and not reinvest in their businesses. All of us will be paying more for their goods and services. Do you want Uncle Sam involved in more of your life than it is now?

Barack Obama’s tax plan delivers broad-based tax relief to middle class families and cuts taxes for small businesses and companies that create jobs in America, while restoring fairness to our tax code and returning to fiscal responsibility. Coupled with Obama’s commitment to invest in key areas like health, clean energy, innovation and education, his tax plan will help restore bottom-up economic growth that helps create good jobs in America and empowers all families achieve the American dream.

  • Cut taxes for 95 percent of workers and their families with a tax cut of $500 for workers or $1,000 for working couples.

  • Provide generous tax cuts for low- and middle-income seniors, homeowners, the uninsured, and families sending a child to college or looking to save and accumulate wealth.

  • Eliminate capital gains taxes for small businesses, cut corporate taxes for firms that invest and create jobs in the United States, and provide tax credits to reduce the cost of healthcare and to reward investments in innovation.

  • Dramatically simplify taxes by consolidating existing tax credits, eliminating the need for millions of senior citizens to file tax forms, and enabling as many as 40 million middle-class Americans to do their own taxes in less than five minutes without an accountant.

  • Middle class families will see their taxes cut – and no family making less than $250,000 will see their taxes increase. The typical middle class family will receive well over $1,000 in tax relief under the Obama plan, and will pay tax rates that are 20% lower than they faced under President Reagan. According to the Tax Policy Center, the Obama plan provides three times as much tax relief for middle class families as the McCain plan.

  • Families making more than $250,000 will pay either the same or lower tax rates than they paid in the 1990s. Obama will ask the wealthiest 2% of families to give back a portion of the tax cuts they have received over the past eight years to ensure we are restoring fairness and returning to fiscal responsibility. But no family will pay higher tax rates than they would have paid in the 1990s. In fact, dividend rates would be 39 percent lower than what President Bush proposed in his 2001 tax cut.

  • Obama’s plan will cut taxes overall, reducing revenues to below the levels that prevailed under Ronald Reagan (less than 18.2 percent of GDP). The Obama tax plan is a net tax cut – his tax relief for middle class families is larger than the revenue raised by his tax changes for families over $250,000. Coupled with his commitment to cut unnecessary spending, Obama will pay for this tax relief while bringing down the budget deficit.

That will be a neat trick if he can pull it off.  How's he going to do that and increase spending by a trillion dollars to implement all of his other plans?

NUMEROUS ISSUES????????????? HE VOTED WITH DUBYA 90% OF THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW WHO REALLY DISAGREE WITH THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION IS OBAMA. I am interested in the FBI's findings too.

That's right McCain's idea of healthcare for the uninsured is the ER. I am sick of it!!!!!!!! And so is the American people, fed up and sick in tired of the state of this country. You can not blame it on the Dem's. We have had a Republican President for 8 years who has screwed up this country and I am sorry, but I am not going to give my vote to another President who has NO new ideas, period.... The same as the idiot before him.......................The reason the Republicans are on this name calling BS, is because they have nothing to offer the American people that they want. The only people voting Republican are the die hard right wingers. You know who I mean...

Now what do you think his solution would be, yes you got it, cut nurses wages, why because we are not the Rich, and that is all McCain cares about. In his first debate he DID NOT mention the middle class one time, NOT ONCE!!!!!!!!!!! Why, because he is out of touch with the middle class. And his wife, omg, " she has done so much for blah blah blah, well with her money she needs a right off. I am sorry but with her money she should be doing, BLAH BLAH BLAH. I know i am going to get blasted, but I do not care, I am sick and tired of the breaks for the RICH, and unless you are RICH, you think things are bad now, well just see what happens if McCain is elected, which by the way is unlikely..................

Obama voted with the Democratic Party line 96% of the time when he voted.  He missed 303 votes (46.3%) during the current Congress.
