Posted about 1 year ago Where have you been? What was the most exciting trip? Have you been on nursing mission trips? Ginny |

| Posted about 1 year ago I have not been on any nursing mission trips but I have travelled quite a bit. It is one of my favorite hobbies, right after sleeping! My favorite place is my husband's home country, Morocco. I just went there this past summer for two weeks and we also went to Spain. That was a lovely place, also. We went to Sevilla and spent time with his uncle and aunt - toured all the great buildings. We also went to Malaga and visited his cousin and toured all the beaches and ruins. If only I could speak Spanish or Arabic! I would love to see what nursing is like there in Morocco. I do speak some French but I do not think enough that I would understand most medical things!! |

| Posted about 1 year ago One place I've always wanted to travel to...vacationing, or mission work, is St. Lucia. The farthest I've gone is Kauai, Hawaii. The most beautiful, breathtaking scenery ever...and the WHALES! If you go, go in the spring, you're almost guaranteed to see them. Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!! |

| Posted about 1 year ago I haven't traveled that much but I would love to. Two places I'd love to visit are Australia and Scotland. We did go to Reno two years in a row-that was my most fun vacation to date. |

| Posted about 1 year ago I have not been to Reno for several years. It is a fun spot. I think it is pretty up there. We looked at moving there but it takes even more $$$$ to buy a house there than it does here. Ginny |

| Posted 8 months ago Cant' say that I'm a world traveler like most of you. I've been up and down the whole east coast Florida to NY and into Canada and over to Mississippi. I have been out to California too, but flew, so I only traveled over all the states between. LOL As far as outside the USA I've been on a cruise to San Juan and the Virgin Islands. That's about it for me. I would love to go to Austraila or Japan. |

| Posted 8 months ago In 1988 I went to Micronesia with a wonderful plastic surgeon to repair cleft palates and other other childhood deformities. I've been in every state in the Union, except Alaska. Some as a traveling nurse, mostly through out my early childhood as I traveled with my grandparents. I've been to Vancouver BC, Toronto, Niagra Falls, Montreal Canada, and Mexico I've driven cross country, from coast to coast 10 times, only twice with someone, usually by myself with two dogs Deb

| Posted 8 months ago Nice to hear some of you want to come to Australia - I highly reccomend it as a travel destination because its 'safe, clean and so amazing the scenery and people' ... our landscape is so diverse- deserts, bush, rainforests, coastal towns and cites, there is so much to see - I know it takes ages to get here, but worth it. I for one am desperate to go to Ireland, also Prague and Paris.. and see the grand canyon and New York. I'm sure I will one day !! Been all over Oz though and still havent seen it all |

| Posted 8 months ago I love to travel, that's why I want to go into travel nursing to see more of our great country. In the past few years I've been to Canada, Mexico, Korea, Japan, Jamaca, and Germany. We get around the states at Thanksgiving we drove from WY to Sarnia Canada, so we hit many states. Last summer we flew to California and drove down the coast to southern CA. My goal is when my husband is done with school is to live in San Fransisco for three months...he thinks I'll get it out of my system. I always wanted to run away when I was young to San Fran for the drugs, sex and rock and roll, I know it won't be quite the same but I'll be able to soak up the city. My ultimate is a villa in Tuscany, my daughter says a trip to Tuscany is my graduation gift, can't wait1 Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

| Posted 8 months ago I've traveled all over the US. I've been a travel nurse in California and North Carolina. I love outdoor sports, so I've been to just about every state on the East Coast. When I moved to North Dakota, I drove from Delaware and got a good look at the Midwest when I did. Minnesota should not be called the State of 10,000 Lakes tho: it should be called the State of 10,000 potholes. The highways there are terrible. I lived in North Dakota for 2 years and had a number of Canadian friends. I went up to northern Saskatchewan province and went ice fishing for two days: it was an awesome trip. I drove to California from North Dakota and took a leisurely pace, visiting places in Montana, Idaho, and Nevada. It was a great drive, really makes you appreciate this country. I visited Mexico once, went to Tiajuana. Will never go back. The place scared the crap out of me: armed Federales on every street corner--with machine guns, not pistols. Place was dirty, smelly, and outside of the tourist area (basically a big bazaar) the whole town was nothing more than a ghetto. Bleck! I'm sure there are nicer places in Mexico and I might visit those someday. |

| Posted 8 months ago We went to Cancun. I pictured the yucky stuff, but the areas we went to were nice. The only thing I worried about was the weather. That big hurricane hit right after we left. I was never so grateful, can't imagine getting stuck in a country without help. I was just with my daughter and used the internet to plan my vacation, so there isn't any assist if you don't have a travel agency. Which I found out when we were there. It turned out ok, that's what counts. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

| Posted 8 months ago I'd like to be more of a world traveler!! I've been to Mexico, Canada, Bahamas, San Juan, Virgin Islands, and Hawaii! My daughter is more of a world traveler - she actually toured Europe twice! I'd love to visit Japan,China,Germany,Ireland,Australia,New Zealand, and Russia!! Probably the only way I'll ever be able to see all of these countries is by going on the World Cruise which I don't have the time or the money to do!! |

| Posted 7 months ago I have been to England to see my mum's family. I remember going to bed one night with no snow, only to wake up the next morning to have snow all the way up to the 2nd story window. My grandfather use to take us to see Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster....though it is just a legend, for a long time he had my sister and I believing she was real. I love and miss that country side.
