Have you ever witnessed medically unexplained healings? One of our elders in our church works as a chaplain in a hospital. He was praying for a man who was comatose. After he prayed "in Jesus's Name", the man woke up and the family shouted: "A miracle!"

we have a church member that was diagnosed to only live for 2 months because of kidney disease almost 10 years ago. she used to be my kids' sunday school teacher until she met a tragic car accidently almost 2 months ago. she was comatose for more than a week but is lucid for 2 days until the family decided to take her out of ventilator. the miracle? his husband who was driving and her grandkid are not hurt. her life was full of miracles because she battled diabetes, kidney failure for a long time and she continued to serve the Lord until her last breath. What a testimony....................... that's a miracle for me..... i do miss her a lot.

I have seen many, many occurances that would have been considered a " miracle". It's such a non-discript word for the normal workings of our Creator. The problem is that we fail to realize that all of the daily workings of we humanbeings is a "miracle from God. Why,then should we be surprised when Our Lord circumvents the actions of the medical establishment and their self imposed god complex, to do what is in Gods nature. We often fail to realize that we are not in control so anything that we witness, that is somewhat out of the ordinary,we call a miracle. We pray for our loved ones, forpatients and their families. We pray for miracles every day and wonder why they dont happen. At least we feel they don't happen to our specifications. We just need to let go of our pride and trust in the workings of Our Lord. And I guarantee you will wittness miracles every day with your patients. Some big one and some tiny ,but none the less, miracles.. Aloha......

Aloha, you say so clearly what I have always believed that every day is full of miracles and only when they seem out of the ordinary do we acknowledge the miracle of God's love.

I found out in 1999 that I had MS. My mother had it also. When you find out something like this, you become closer to God or you pull away. My mother pulled away and doubted God's love for her. I have never asked God "Why me?" I have always said "Why not me?" I believe there is a reason for everything. I may not find out the reason I have this diease while I am here on this earth, but I will find out when I go home to be with the Lord. I became a nurse because of my mother and her having MS, so maybe I would not have been called to nursing if she did not have MS. She did not live to see me become a nurse. Everyone can touch someone without even knowing it.

Your last sentence is powerful and so true. We are each given a cross to bear and must do the best we can with what we have. One of my favorite little stories is about one of God's Angels who constantly grumbled and complained about the cross he had to bear. It was "too big " and "too heavy" and he thought others had much smaller crosses to bear. One day, the Head Angel got tired of listening to his complaints and took him into a little room and told him he could exchange his cross for any other one he saw in the room. The Angel looked around the room. There were crosses laying everywhere, all sizes and shapes but everyone of them was larger than his. After looking around for a minute, the Angel picked up his own cross again and left the room. He never complained again.

yup, heard a story similar to that and well, frankly, i felt like that--- very overwhelmed. everytime i feel so overwhelmed, God will send me a message like a phone call or letter telling that a friend of ours is sick or need a job, or so. i just cry out loud and talk to God to forgive me for being so selfish in my own small world. that's another miracle!!!!! I am blessed to be able to finally pursue my dream, blessing and calling in life. I ask that everyone keeps me in their prayers and I will keep you all posted on my progress. To God Be The Glory. I feel that it is a miracle in and of itself that I am able to finally become a Nurse.

Good Luck to you Tacqua. I am happy that you are finally getting to pursue your dream. Just don't give up no matter how hard it gets. Remember the Lord will not never leave you nor forsake you and He will always be there for you. I know He is the one that got me through school.
