Now you can get the real scoop on employers from your trusted friends in the nursing community through our new Employer Review feature.

How it Works:

First add specific details about your employer, then rate an employer on five attributes: Leadership, Culture, Pay, Stability and Advancement. You can also offer advice to prospective employees and explain your rationale as to why you rated your employer the way you did..

You can make your review anonymous, allowing you to provide the most honest evaluation.

Get Started:

Log on and rate your employer or see which hospital, school, long term care facility, etc. is best reviewed.

Complete your first employer review.

Our designers and developers have been busy over the past few weeks refreshing the look of our news , career , and education articles.

We have a new rating system now too, so instead of giving it a 1 – 5 value, you can give any article a Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down.

And at the bottom of the articles you’ll notice several little buttons that say things like “Digg It”, “Stumble It”, etc. If you like any particular article just click on those buttons to let others know it is a good article.

We hope you will enjoy these new features and get a lot from our site!

April 3 - is the release date we're aiming for to fix the points system. In the meantime, please be patient. A solution is coming soon!

New and cool on NursinLink - Improved Video Uploading!

It's now sooooo easy to upload videos...we need to see what you've been sitting on or what the fun things in your email inbox from friends are....please upload and share!

Your videos can be fun...or educational...

We've also made some very cool improvements to news, careers, and education, so you can select various topics to see, and more quickly find what you're looking for using pulldown menus. Hope you'll enjoy!

We're also adding a LOT more on how to pay for school in the education section. Should be helpful info for those heading for school.

Ok well, I'm going to kvetch a bit.  There are some things I like about the new forum and some things I do not.  I still don't see who's online and who isn't.  I liked the old format where all recent topics were readily visible.  Some of the searchs I've done, keeps telling me topics not available.

I like the smileys and signatures.  I like the tool bar.

Sorry, my expectations of seeing if someone was online were different than a green dot under a name.  I was expecting a list of those online showing up on the main home site.  sorry for the misunderstanding

Dmaze: Yeah I do not know what is up with the search feature. It will pop up page not availabale, yet it is there. I have run into trouble with the search feature more than once.

I don't like the new format. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I'm having a hard time finding some topics.  I just like the old way better. And I'm thinking instead of making all these changes, maybe they could have spent some of that time finding out where our lost points went and fixed that.  The new fixture of being able to tell who's on line is not what I expected either. You can tell that by who's posting.

this is probably going to be like everything else nurses deal with.

We weren't asked if we wanted the site changed

We weren't asked how we wanted it changed

We weren't asked what we needed on the site

Someone who thinks they're more "savvy" have made the decisions for us

OR someone is going to answer us, eventually by being condescending, a little terse and with a touch of arrogance

Well, don't get too excited here about the changes...and how you weren't consulted! :) WE weren't consulted either...(as site editors)...this are improvements to the 10+ companion sites we share our publishing system with - so we all get tools released from the tech team here...at the same time.

BUT...i do think there are a lot of positive changes - i could never find the topics I had posted about before and now i can follow them...i like this a LOT...

we are certainly going to take everything you're telling us and let them know about it.

And...whenever we can, I will share with you a change that's coming up.

Right now, i am really hoping you guys will help by finding and posting some fun videos. We have so totally revamped the video uploads now so it is really, really EZ.

We also love your feedback - so keep it coming - the cons AND the pros...is there anything you LIKE about the new discussions, too? (tell us BOTH pluses and minuses.)

Thanks for being here. We "heart" you and want to hear everything that's on your mind!!!!!

The bug with the search is going to be fixed ASAP, so just hang on tight.

Stumble, Digg, and Delicious are great ways to share the things you have found on the internet with your friends. There will be a guide explaining how to use these features coming soon.

While changes are always easy to deal with, I do hope you will enjoy being able to create a signature, format  your posts, and see if your friends are online!

Every time I come to this site, something is changed. Again I say "if it ain't broken, don't fix it". Why do I have so much trouble getting into Forum?

I'm sorr you feel this way. What are you finding difficult about the Forums? There have not been any changes made since the major overhaul last week.

We appreciate you feedback, though - so keep it coming!

Charlita

I have found that  it's usually easier when you first log on, and the home page comes up, it lists the last forums that were posted in. I usually just click on one of them and it takes me right there. Then I can click on most recent and go to all the forums. Does that make sense? I have found that when I click forum, it won't go to forum. I have to get there the way I just describe above.

Hope it makes sense to you.
